MEDAL Summer School in Computational Modelling happening in June

The last MEDAL summer school “MEDAL Summer School in Computational Modelling” will take place at the University of Birmingham from 23–27 June 2025. Come along to learn about Computational Modelling in linguistics.

The summer school starts with software setup activities on Monday, followed by a comprehensive programme from Tuesday to Friday. Each day includes two keynote sessions, hands-on workshops, and engaging social activities. Tailored for participants of all skill levels, the talks and workshops feature separate tracks for beginners and advanced learners. If you would like more information, you can visit the MEDAL project website here.

Explore cutting-edge research in inspiring keynotes, dive into topics such as LDL models, LLMs for linguists, NDL algorithms, and computational approaches in expert-led workshops, and gain practical skills through hands-on labs. Personalised one-on-one consultations and an introductory Python class tailored for beginners will also benefit you.

You may be eligible for mobility funding if you are affiliated with a MEDAL consortium partner institution. You can check your eligibility for travel grants here.
